What is it?

Common assistive technology services related to testing accommodations:

§         Readers: persons who “read” to students

o       Readers do not answer questions, give advice, or opinions

o       Content may be read as many times as needed

§         Scribes: persons who “write” for students

o       Scribes do not answer questions, give advice, or opinions

§         Assistive technology (AT): software or hardware that assists student in access and independence

o       Performs the role of the reader or scribe
