When asked last year if I wanted to continue working with Ocotillo this year, my answer was "Yeah I guess..."
The problem was that I had no single focus that I wanted to pursue. Instead, I gave a laundry list of things that I might get around to this year and it looked something like this:- Continue to use ePorts for/as a:
- Course Management System
- Student Portfolio System
- Organizational Communication Tool (like for Ocotillo and CISIP)
- Work with student-generated podcasts
- Use Personal Response Systems
There were a couple of other items I'd suggested at first that I've blown off for this first semester (use of bluetooth graphics tablets in the physics class as well as switching over to Moodle as a CMS). Instead, I've added a couple of other items for my consideration:- Educational Gaming (I just submitted a sabbatical proposal for next year on this topic)
- Wikiversity (could this do to us what Wikipedia has done to old fashioned encyclopedias?
