Kathi, then how do you handle juniors and seniors who still plagiarize after two years, or more, of being taught "how not to plagiarize"? I  am not in a "I'm gonna get it" attitude, because I have been teaching English or reading at a secondary level for over 20 years and am highly qualified to do so. Teaching children to not plagiarize begins in kindergarten, not ninth grade.
